Fantastic interior

Pros: Looks and Handling
Cons: Can't see driver info buttons when driving, hidden by steering wheel and turn signal stalk

Ordered mine in gold mist. Waited just long enough that the wood wheel and shift knob were finally available. It has the performance package, seating package, and luxury 1 package along with the polished 18" wheels. Also got all the wood trim packages. This car has the FE 2 suspension and I opted for the 263 hp v6 and it is all I cold want in power and looks and ride. I traded in a 2005 CTS with the same engine, and these don't even seem to be the same cars. The 2008 is that much better in it's fit finish and so far quality. Turns heads every time we drive it. The old CTS looks like a malibu on the inside, and this one looks like a Caddy should. Especially love the adaptive lighting, and the accent lighting at night. Only real gripe I have is on my 2005 the homnelink garage door opener came with the luxury level 1 package, and on the new CTS you have to move up to the lucury level 2 package to get it. After adding the performance, seating and luxury 1 packages, I coldn't just the levvel 2 just for the door opener. Still managed to keep my CTS to barely over $40,000

the caddy that zig zap the pontiac G6!

the 3.6 direct injection V6 outburn the pontiac G6 252 hp V6 ,the sunroof is uncomfortable

i had the pontiac G6 with the 252 HP V6 which is 2005 that i leased for three years from now. but i trade that in 2008 on january the 3rd for the cadillac CTS. it out perform the pontiac G6 like CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's even got more features hard drive radio system. in the pontiac G6 i didn't had a sunroof but the CTS has twin sunroofs when it has a shade that shows sun inside the car than having a closed shade that shows no sun. but other than that it's a great caddy.

The bean counters are active at general motors

good looking vehicle, get many comments,so far all is good.
So far everything is ok. although I have had a problem with the service rep at a dealership in ridg.
My one major complaint is the design of the center floor console. It"s absolutely useless !!! There is room for nothing.Another thing is the auto shift lever which is impossible to see what gear your in at night..I"m sure it was very cost effective for general motors to not install a light bulb..I have never owned a car with no light,,Have you ever noticed all the foreign cars come with a shift light ??????

dealer disinterest

Twice now I have sent in a request for a price quote online for a Cadillac CTS to a particular dealer..something I have done before successfully with several other cars..The dealer never bothered to answer either request..I suppose it's the ole new car salesman jive: we can't keep them in stock etc..Listen to me: they ain't that good! So,I'll just a another model of car..
